it usually crashes when the computer is used almost at full load, but I managed a trick: I use priority saver (http://www.prnwatch.com/prio.html) to increase the priority of strokes plus process. It works better and it does not crush so often. Also, in my case, I noticed that strokes plus is more stable if I uncheck agressively manage memory. It doesn't freeze the computer when running virtual box virtual machine.
PS: I have a MSI laptop with i3 370m and 4GB RAM and it's not that good at multitasking... |

S+ already runs at High priority. What are you having priority saver set it to, out of curiosity?
Yes, for those who experience lag or performance issues, I definitely reccommend disabling the Aggressively Manage Memory setting; while it reduces the memory footprint of S+, it also causes S+ to have to reload things into memory when drawing/executing actions. If your system is under load already, S+ having to also reload things into RAM could make things worse...oddly enough, this setting is better suited for higher powered systems. In reality, this setting mainly for those who like to see really low memory footprints, constantly unloading and reloading things is actually less efficient. Although, I'm one of those people and always leave that option checked
Also, not having S+ draw the gesture line will greatly reduce overhead; especially on systems with standard video cards...the full screen alpha blending can be taxing on systems with low-end graphics hardware. |

Actually, on my computer, strokes plus was set to normal, and I set it to maxim, in task manager (Set CPU priority. Prio just saves this setting.
Anyway, about my old problem: Strokes Plus stopes when unplugging notebook cable. I found that if I start Strokes Plus normally, meaning double clicking the program icon with UI window select Yes, it does not stop when unplugging. But, I use task scheduler to start Strokes Plus by default with admin rigths, and have created an icon that does the same. In this case it stops when unplugging cable. But: this is still a Strokes Plus bugg with task scheduler, as I did it the same for the mouse driver, and it does not stop... Any ideas? |

Also, if I am in Task Scheduler window and I run by Right Click -> Run the task, it doen't stop either when unplugging power cable. |

I'm not sure, running S+ via the Task Scheduler isn't really a supported method. I just start S+ manually whenever I boot up.
At least that explains what was going on in your situation, probably forum member fug's issue too. |
